Be Part of the Film

Through donors and in-kind donations we have raised $3,000 to film this project and are collaborating with non-profits to help spread awareness of our film. The constant support has been overwhelming.

We currently are seeking funds to help pay for an editor, music score and distribution.

If you would like to be part of a film and community you can contribute below!

You can donate through our fiscal sponsor, From the Heart Productions, which is a tax-deductible.

please note "The Process" in your donation description

The mental breakdown of a black man processing grief as he battles alcoholism.

The Process is an experimental exploration of black men and mental health. In a world where examples of addiction and grief within the black community aren’t as varied as they deserve to be, The Process provides a unique outlet to reach audiences who aren’t being represented.

The film is lead by black creatives who wrote, directed and star in this short narrative; which adds to the authenticity of the story being told.

DIONTE ELLIOTT

Dionte is a thoughtful creative who came up with the concept of The Process after seeing how mental health and addiction affected his own family. His goal has been to shine a light on issues that plague his community.

CHRISTOPHER JACKSON

Chris is a genre focused filmmaker whose pieces are often informed by his emotional journey in life, with The Process being one of them.
